Strategic Leadership- Chad Schrepper

I feel that after both reading the article in the Harvard Business Review, and viewing the video on Jack Walsh that both have many of the same views when it comes to strategic leadership. Some of the similarities that I found were they both agree that compassion and supporting positive attitudes are major tools in developing strong strategic leadership. One of the things that the agreed on that I view as very important is identifying characteristics within the company and its employees and choosing managers accordingly.
My views have not changes after reading this article, if anything the things that I learned from the video were supported by the views of the authors within the Harvard Business Review.

After reading both the article "Building a Leadership Brand" that is in the Harvard Business Law Review and watching the movie about Jack Walsh I feel that they both have many common characteristics about strategic leadership. One of the similaries that I saw in both texts were that when leaders say they're going to accomplish something, they always accomplish it, whether or not they want to do it. It is important for the leader to accomplish what they say they're going to accomplish or else they will have to deal with some mad employees and possibly in the long run, failure of the company. Also in both texts it says it is very important to choose the right managers.

By reading the article and watching the movie I definitly understand alot more about what qualities good leaders have. They're extremely passionate about they're job, they always do what they say they're going to go, and hire good managers that share similar qualities that they have.

Strategic Leadership- Evan Gaffny

After reading the article from the Harvard Business Review and seeing the movie on Jack Welch I feel both the article, the movie and the text focus on many of the same aspects to great leadership. More specifically both the article and Jack Welch feel that compassion and drive any goal set to be accomplished can be and needs to be. Also I feel that both show that emotional intelligence plays a major role in good leadership.

I do not think my view of a good strategic leader has changed, my thoughts and beliefs have simply been re-enforced by reading the article and watching the movie.

Strategic Leadership-Nerrisa Pareja

After reading the article "Building a Leadership Brand" from the Harvard Business Review and watching the video on Jack Walsh they have a lot of the same ideas on what it takes to be a leader and have good leadership skills. They spoke a lot about compassion and always having a positive attitude which Jack Walsh is very focused on when it comes to running a business. A lot was also said on both sides about always choosing managers accordingly and that leadership is strtegically developes.
My thoughts and views have not changed at all. If anything I have learned more about being a good leader along with the steps and tools to become a good strategic leader.
