Sandra, I think the best part of your post is your vision, its straight forward and says exactly what you envision your self doing. the weakest part of your post is your values. the book says values are statements of how managers and employees should conduct themselves, how they should do business, and what kind of organization they should build to help a company achieve its mission. I don't think you really achieved that with your values.
Sandra,
Looking at all of your topics involving, the four key aspects of this assignment. You really thought about what you want to accomplish in life after you leave Franklin Pierce University. Each section has many good aspects that define yourself an individual willing to do what has to be done to get the job finished in a timely manner. The things that you did wrong really don’t jump out at me. Each aspect is right on the money and really doesn’t need any changing.
I think that your dedication to your goals will be another valuable asset in your pursuits. Your mission statement is very clearly laid out and the other topics contribute well to your plan.
I think it may be helpful to add some information about what you would like to do with the knowledge you gain after MSL. What are your plans for after law school? How will you apply your knowledge?
Hi Sandra,
You have come a long way with these. I have some suggestions to tweak what you have:
(1) Mission-"to provide Massachusetts School of Law with a dedicated and hardworking student whose personal and academic experience has made her passionate about the study of law"
(2) Vision- "to be a successful self-employed attorney dedicated to establishing case law that improves environments, real estate, land use and planning laws" or something to that affect
(3) values- rewrite the part: "understanding the mateial and how to apply it in real life situations"- what is the VALUE behind that statement?
Distinctive competency- what you state is good, but having spoken with you I think you need to add the impact your personal experience have made on your career choice- I think that is what will set you apart from others.
Nice work!
(3) Values
(4) Distinctive competencies
Hi Sandra,
My apologies. I am getting tired. I don't know how to edit my comment post to you, but please do the following:(1) ignore everything after "Nice work!" That was meant to be the very end of the post.(2) under "Vision" environments should be environmental.
Sorry.
